For some reason, November 14-16, 2014 was the culmination of mallwide sale from the malls I passed by. Went to Trinoma Mall, here in Quezon City last Saturday to watch Interstellar and to my astonishment (I'm so itching to use that word) I stumbed upon a herd of shoppers! and I mean HEARD AND FLOCK OF SHOPPERS!!! On every floor of Trinoma Mall! I was like.....what the heck is happening! .... lo and behold I saw the sign!.....MALLWIDE SALE!!! Now who says the Philippines is a third world country!!! First floor, toys on sale! no space to breathe tons of shoppers was thinking of buying toys might find Tomica Toy trucks on sale. I changed my mind and went up to the cinema instead. Got my ticket then watched the movie for the first time in Trinoma. I felt to ignorant....I didn't know where in the world the cinema was. I only saw the cinema ticket kiosk. Trinoma has been here since 2007 but this would be my first ever time to watch here. Interstellar was an amazing sci-fi movie. Movie filled with physics and scientific theories only to figure out if there's a world out there to become an alternate planet. It was an adventure and visual excitement. Things that we can only see in our imagination and .... CGI. After checking out a few more mountaineering stores, I opted to get out of the building. Introvert in me is creeping out again. I was getting anxious there were too much people.
Before dropping by Trinoma, I also visited a one day event.... the Komikon 2014! I do collect Pinoy comic books. I'm into stories using Philippine mythology, Philippine history and Pinoy humor and turning it into an amazing adventure. Some of the things I read would be works by Manix Abrera, Mel Casipit, Tepai Pascual, Maika Ezawa, Pol Medina, Carlo Vergara, Ian Sta. Maria, Melvin Ignacio, Budjette Tan, Kajo Baldisimo, Freely Abrigo, Paolo Fabregas to name a few. It's just an introvert thing I guess, we would stay in our rooms read books and transcend in a whole new different world. I do a plan before going to Komikon events. Since its a one day event I was expecting herd and flock of comic book fans and comic book nerds. I went immediately to my target artists and checked out a stuff. had my books signed and went out of the crowd. Crowd seems to grow in numbers everytime I visit Komikon. Bayanihan Center was full! Artists and Creations everywhere! It was an oasis of comic book landia. I was able to get a few books, unfortunately, I was in a tight budget so I had to control my spending. Next payday would be far off the calendar. Oh well there's still the next Komikon next year.
On Sunday had to request for schedule adjustment with my dentist in SM North EDSA, here in Quezon City as well. Went to the mall in the afternoon, dropped by the dentist's clinic. unfortunately no available schedules on the 20th of November so I just planned to rush my trip from the office in Mandaluyong City to Quezon City in less than an hour. I think I would need to ride a taxi cab or MRT to get to the clinic on time.....a miracle i shall need! After visiting the dentist, I went around and planned to watch Big Hero 6....voala! People and a long queue of kids to watch the cuddly Baymax! I had another feeling of discomfort so I moved along instead and checked out stuff on sale. It was so uncomfortable seeing the crowd so I went outside after a few minutes. Grabbed a few siomai and gulaman then left the building. Went to SM Novaliches.....with another mallwide sale! Instead of watching a movie I just ate shawarma...saw another flock of people got tired...then went home.
So this is the malling life of an introvert =)
Another diary completed.
